Instant hot water with a gas hot water heating system

With a gas hot water system, you and your family can enjoy an instant and continuous hot water supply.

The systems use natural gas or LPG and have a thermostat to regulate temperature, gas values to control the fuel supply, and safety devices like pressure relief valves and gas flues for venting. While problems can arise, gas systems are relatively low maintenance, and longevity is improved with regular servicing. To discuss what is best for you, call A2W Plumbing & Hot Water Limited.

Keep your gas appliances and systems safe and in good working order with timely repairs and regular servicing

FAQs about plumbing

At A2W Plumbing & Hot Water Limited, we are committed to helping our customers use gas more efficiently, and that’s good news if you want to save money. Here are some FAQ’s.

Highly unlikely in our lifetime. However, gas is a fossil fuel, so reducing the amount we use is a good thing, not just for the environment but for our wallets.

There are several ways to reduce your gas bill. The first and easiest is to shop around different retailers (Genesis, Contact etc.) to find the best deal. Here is a link to a website that can help you with that. The second way is to reduce the amount of gas you use. If you use gas to heat your water, you could reduce the time you are in the shower and be conscious about running the hot tap when you don’t need to. Another good way is to have your appliances serviced, particularly water heaters and gas fires or heaters.

Gas systems and gas appliances need regular maintenance by certified gasfitters to ensure the systems remain in good working order, maintain efficiency, and are safe. Older models can become inefficient and start costing money; a licensed professional can advise if you need an upgrade.

If it is safe to do so, open windows and doors. If the smell of gas is strong, get everyone, including pets, outside immediately. Call 111 if the odour is very strong. Otherwise, phone a gas fitter. If you smell gas outside your house, call a gas fitter to come and investigate for you.
